As with your situation I think It is easier to deal when you have someone sitting (or sleeping) next to you. Mom lives there alone now and is completely at ease in the house.

*gulp* Did your parents just get used to these things?

I've had a few freaky moments, but from a long long time ago, and thankfully nothing in recent years. When a friend and I saw a bottle flip in the air and land upright, like you I concluded that it was playing games with us, and just letting us know it was there.

Hey Angela,

On a scale of 1-10 (1 being "Huh that was kinda odd" and 10 being "run screaming from the house" they were a 3 and 2 respectively.) Nope. no one ever thought to leave. Most things were of mild nature. Mom actually had hopes that I or my brother would want to move in after she passes. Never gonna happen for either of us. I had a few things happen just before I left for college that were up in the 9's. And when my brother goes home to visit he sleeps on the couch with the lights and tv on all night. Never gonna happen.

On the occasion that I watch a movie that has some spooky stuff, I'm like "I would be so out of there." And then I think, but you know when mild stuff happens all the time you kinda get used to it. So when the really freaky stuff happens, it's almost like you're more prepared.

And it's a beautiful 4 bedroom old house. Hard to leave that.

These stories are pretty scary, I think. How could you feel good sleeping downstairs also when the laundry room door was down there?

I can't imagine what your other stories are like. Didn't your parents ever think of moving? I would have a really, really bad time if anything like that happened to me, especially when there is no one else in the house.

At any rate, thanks for the Halloween stories!
