A New Banner
So we had to let Mojo go (the black cat from my previous banner) since we are knee deep in snow and nasty-ass cold. His fall pumpkins were no longer appropriate.
Anybody want to hazard a guess as to what this is? Really quite obvious if you think about it . . .and me.
I really don’t know what this besides snow. My first guess was Chicory’s hoof print. Then after reading your post, I will say snow on your knee with your new snow pants on? Looking forward to the answer.
I am all done with my commissions for Christmas — nice little run, wondering if I will ever have more. I am missing them. Catching up on Christmas shopping, car maintanance and Christmas cards. Thinking of trying to get something done for the “Art Show at the Dog Show”, though getting close (1/14 deadline) and the LSU Veterinary International Art Show (1/09) — though may submit my POA oil pastel for that. Had planned a four season series, but not sure will get to that soon. Of course, must prepare for my new teaching responsibilities also.
We have had some snow already this season, but recent ice and snow went south of us, so just cold right now. Are you cool with driving in the stuff. I try to shop for two weeks worth of food/house stuff at a time. (Don’t have an extra freezer — just a real big one in newer fridge) Do you have to go to the market much, of course, going to the Gallery, you can always pick things up. How long of a drive to the Gallery is it for you?
Happy Painting, Angela
Our gallery is very close. (Only 4 miles away.) We do get quite a bit in town but we need to get out for stuff about every 2-3 weeks. (The nearest town of size is an hour away) We also don’t have a freezer and I keep telling Mike we should get one because I put up alot of garden produce every year. And if we had more space, I’d plant more stuff.
Our business van is unbelievable poor on snow, ice or wet grass. (no I’m not kidding about the grass.) After we bought it, I mentioned it to several artists and they’re like “Well Yeah.” Like it was common knowledge. Fortunately we also have a all wheel drive vehicle with smart track that will go through just about anything. It’s just no good for artshows but so nice for day to day running.
Did you get your new stuff posted anywhere? Cool that your missing the work. Comission work agress with you then.
Excellent!
I would think the Vet. show would be a great venue. I once did a cover for the JAVMA (journal vet meds) and it was very good for me. I’ve heard allot of Art Show at the Dog Show but know nothing about it.
Hmmm. . . maybe my banner isn’t so obvious after all. No, on both your guesses. Though you were pretty close. Maybe I’ll need to leave a clue a day or something.
Umm… Chickory’s tail end covered in snow?
Yay Undaunted!!! You guessed correctly. I should have offered an award of some sort huh? Maybe we’ll do a little guess what it is game every now and again AND have a reward.
Yay! I got it!
Sorry, I just commented on the post with the answer before I saw your reply here. I wasn’t pushing for an award, honest! I was just being cheeky!
Undaunted, Hey I like cheeky.
I thought it was great that you, a non-horse person was the first to guess it correctly either on blog or off. So kudos to you! And ummm . . . sorry, thats all you get.
Hmm… yeah… not sure what that says about me. Should I feel proud that I know what a horses bum looks like close up?!
Ummm, how about go with . . . you have developed a good artistic eye that allows you to discern abstract and obscure shapes and make sense of them.
Lol I’ll go with that!
