I am so sorry, Mona. I am glad that you were foresightful and that you losses were not as great as some others, though I am very sorry you lost anything. It is a blessing that no one was physically hurt.

I read about the devastation after doing a search after your previous blog. Very sad. Angela

Thanks Undaunted. No one on the artshow site was hurt. Though a few people did lose their lives elsewhere in Omaha.

Since everything I lost was completely replaceable it wasn't nearly so hard on me as some others. Some artists really were in a bit of a state of shock for the entire weekend. Glad it's over. I've got one more event in Omaha this year, hopefully I won't freak out every time the wind blows, when the time comes. :)

Oh my goodness. How awful. I'm presuming no one was physically hurt, and I'm glad that you have returned home safely. But what a loss. I can't help thinking not only of the financial loss of these people, but the artistic loss, and the loss of many hours work. How soul destroying. I'm glad you didn't lose any original work.

By the photo's below, you really wouldn't believe the devastation of the day before!

The people who run this art fair certainly do a fantastic job of looking after their artists! It's a good way of making sure people keep coming back though. If only every business used their values.
