Bang Head Here
I spent my afternoon today painting this on the wall (yes on the wall) in my framing room at the gallery. It is appropriately high enough on the wall for use, if I am so inclined.
It took several hours to design and paint. I’m sure if I had some nifty computer program I could have knocked this out in a few minutes. But since I have no nifty program I drew it all out free hand (and it shows.)
Was this a good use of my creative time today? Um . . . no. But it greatly amuses me every time I look at it. And since I am in short supply of amusements of late, I did it. And I thoroughly enjoyed doing it. And I fully expect to at the very least smirk every time I look at it for many days to come.
*grinning from ear to ear*
I think it looks fantastic! I can’t think of a better way to spend your creative time than to make something that maybe relieves a little tension and leaves you with a smile at the same time!
I predict that if you made posters of this it would absolutely fly out the door! (sell well)
In fact, I’m placing my order right now, so you’d better get printing!
Ha! You know I had someone stop by the gallery while I was working on it and she said the same thing. Makes me think seriously about it.
Thanks Undaunted.
Love it — can’t tell it is freehand. Very well done — the colors are great. I wouldn’t have thought of the poster thing — sounds like a winner.
My website is www.AngelasAnimalArt.com - not on the search engines yet, but I can get there with the address.
Have a good day. Angela
P.S. You may be the first person to look at it. Anything you think should be changed to work better, don’t hesitate to let me know.
I hope you have a good day. Angela
Been there already. Looks nice. I think your pricing is very reasonable. Hopefully you’ll get more work than you can handle. May take awhile to get anything through the site but at least you can point people to it whenever there is an interest.
I sent an email from it. Let me know if you don’t get it.
Thanks Mona and Undaunted for looking at my websit and sending me an e-mail. I sent you one each back.
Let’s hope that any work I get isn’t more than I can handle, LOL.
I sent four pieces out on application to a local show last month — got response yesterday — one of them was accepted. I get to go to an opening! The one that got accepted was the most complete compostion of the ones I submitted — “Pony Grazing in a Winter Pasture” (It’s my spotted POA mare) - an OP! They say they make sales on opening night — we will see. But it is great fun for me at any rate!!! Angela
P.S. Off to see friends today, then gone to my Mom’s for the weekend. See you next week. Have a good weekend, Angela
Hey Angela, Congrats on getting in the event!!!
It’s a very nice piece. And your horse is lovely. Very much enjoyed the photo on your website. Never received an email (which of course is fine) only mentioned it ’cause if you sent one, you might want to know about the glitch.
So tell me about the show.
