I have to agree with you Robert. I am really liking the way the are handling. I may be getting the full set soon, since I am once again working with the water soluble stuff again. I am wishing I had grabbed the blue black one you mentioned. It sounds perfect for many of my needs. :)

I love my Inktense pencils. They are so strong in a wash that a little goes a very long way -- and that makes them wonderful for bold life sketches if I don't want to put a lot of time in on it. I can sketch looser, wash and still get good values.

They take a little getting used to. I like a blue-black one, one of the ink colors they have is a lot like Paynes Grey and really good for monochrome sketch and wash. It varies, I like most of the dark colors for sketch and wash monochromes.

They also mix beautifully and used dry, have a texture a lot like Prismacolors, so they're good dry too. I just bought a case for my 72 color set -- liked them way too much not to invest in the full range set, now that set is going to be portable instead of my fishing out a handful of colors and forgetting to grab the one I'd use most once I see what I'm going to do with them.
