I think I like her well enough but in the end it is the public who decides. I sometimes need a break from something before I go back and decide if I like it or not. I find that when I photograph pieces it rarely looks just like the actual piece - it either looks better (which is good :) ) or it looks worse. I think your pieces look great, so if you're not happy with the scan I know they must look amazing in the flesh! I know what you mean. There is something about the scanning process that seems to exagerate the marks so things look a little rough. I'm not sure if it is just picking up on the dimensional aspect. The oil pastel has so much texture that the scanner is picking up the slight shadowing that occurs with each stroke. (Kinda annoying) I think I am pleased with her. (I do like the face) It is hard for me to judge right after I am done. :) Thanks Undaunted.
