Thanks Undaunted. Good to have them go and of course the $ ease the pain. Still. . . Ah well. It gives me incentive to make more.

Greetings Angela, Thanks so much for all the kind words. I have been meaning to look around a little more thoroughly on wet canvas, but find it difficult to find the time. I think I have a good support system of artist friends locally, who keep me grounded. However I am pretty much the only one who works in oil pastel.

As to commercial success, it was not a glamorous start. Just loads of hard work and determination. And pumping every penny earned back into the business. At some point I will post about it. I literally started with a $500 investment.

I think the first five posts were probably test posts to get the blog ready. Not sure. Old lady that I am, I can't really remember what I wrote about 6 months back.

Have you posted any work on wet canvas? And of course the question I always ask. Tell me about your horses. :)

Hi Mona, I just found your blog and then website from being a fairly regular reader of Maggie Stiefvater' blog. I have spent part of last night and this morning reading all of your blog (couldn't find the first five posts, though). Your work is beautiful and I thank you so much for sharing your techniques, framing methods and WIP's, as well as writing so well about your personal life and thoughts. I have a small horse farm/critter collector place in central Ohio. I have done art off and on most of my life. I didn't do any for about twelve years (basically after taking on country life with a fulltime job in the big city). I started back into art making almost two years ago and plan to do it daily now that I have retired from conventional work for money. I started back in with oil pastels -- and plans to do alot of horses. I read alot and participate in the wet canvas art site where there is an oil pastel forum. I love your work -- I have not tried museum board for a ground -- am tempted to try. I admire your commercial success -- only a dream for me at this point. Thanks again for sharing, I will be looking at your blog regularly. Wishing you Well, Angela Finney
