I love the color and detal. Looking Good! I find I need to put lighter color forelocks/manes in first --- but I also need to develop a much lighter hand I believe. Got to try this suede mat board sometime soon.

It's coming on so well! I'm enjoying all your progress stages on this portrait even if I haven't commented on every one of them. The textures of his fur are wonderful and I agree about the careful textures under the forelock -- they'll show between clumps of hair and be a lot more natural looking than working around them. I've done that too sometimes on lions.

Thanks Undaunted He's coming along.

Hey Joan I was in the gallery from about 9:30 to 4 but tend to make it look like I'm not. I park the van inside, keep the doors locked and the blinds closed. Sunday is my day for uninterrupted creativity. Even Mike is usually not allowed in. I used to let the place be open but I just had too many visitors. Any other time it would be great to see you. (after hours included)

How's things with you? You still creating?

I was in Rolfe yesterday but didn't see any lights on in the galery or I would have stopped in for a visit. I should have called last night first to see if you were going to be there. I was there for Ashley Frazier's graduation. Can't wait to see the finished portrait
