It’s Late And I’m Dragging (and this is kinda about nothing.)
But oddly enough I’m also wired. (Too much caffeine I’m sure.)
I’ll do the high points and low down on the event next post. It was pretty mediocre for me. I think this will be my last year doing Waterloo. Artist numbers were down and painters were very scarce, and that’s never a good sign. It was fun to get out though and we really enjoyed driving around Cedar Falls. (the two cities abut each other)
I did have a few friends there. But all those that said they wouldn’t be, weren’t. Joe Murray an artist we make prints for was. And it was nice to catch up a bit with him and his wife. Friend and oft times artfair neighbor, Bob “makes it rain” Brehmer was also there. That was about it for folks I knew.
I did make a new friend today Vinnie Sutherland (who does some fabulous tinwork) I think we are two of the same sort. Except I called her Vicki all day and didn’t realize my mistake, until the event was just about over. Yes I felt like an idiot. She’s like “no problem” mostly because she hadn’t noticed. I told her she could call me Myrna from now on and we’d be even. And so she did.
Horse Troubles
And to add a little extra excitement Chicory got out while we were gone. Totally felt helpless since I was 8 hours away from coming home. Fortunately, our horse familiar neighbors caught him and put him in the barn. Darn deer are tearing up the electric fence now that the corn is out of the field.
And lastly, Louise’s Open House was a rousing success. Yay Louise!
Sorry it wasn’t up to much. Glad you made a new friend though
Sorry it wasn’t better, Mona. It is good you saw some friends and made a friend! Glad you have horse savy neighbors.
It was still fun to get out and do. It would just have been more so if we had come home rich.
Hehehe
