I seriously thought about it Undaunted. The prints I mean. AT the moment they get to stay as a one and only. But who knows, if loads of people show an interest I may just go ahead and make prints, or at the very least notecards.

Of course it was the first to sell. I will be somewhat surprised if I come home with the lambs from Omaha. Tomorrow I will post a pic of them framed.

Thanks Mona. Despite not getting into the exhibition I would say it was a good experience. :)

You'd better make plenty of prints of these lambs - I bet everyone will want them! I went to an exhibition a little while ago and one of the artists included a small painting of some owls, as a joke, as the artists had been discussing how people always go for small, cute paintings rather than larger, more serious pieces of art. And it was the first painting to sell!

Thanks to both of you. My husband Mike says I was way to harsh about the lambs also. But then he added, if they don't sell you can always reuse the frame. :) Actually I'd be surprised if they don't find a home.

I completely understand Angela, even though all of my business is art related an amazingly small amount of my time is actually used to paint. There is always so much to get done. Ah well, it sure beats flipping burgers.

Undaunted, I am headed over to your blog to see what you've posted about the competition. I hope it was a good experience for you.

Like the background with it, Mona. I think most baby animals can't help but have a cute factor. It doesn't hit me in the face. I think they would make lovely cards, springtime/Easter.
Finished some paintings in OP yesterday, errands only today and a meeting to maintain my social work license tomorrow -- maybe some art on Thursday - discouraging. Angela

Hehehe, I like your cute little lambs!

Anita has told me before that an artist should never say anything negative about their work or their abilities. Although I'm only learning, I bore this in mind when I posted a picture of my piece that was for the art competition. When it was first finished I hated it! Only because it didn't quite turn out how I had planned, but it has grown on me. :)
