The Latest WIP of my Andalusian Stallion Painting
Spanish Gold- Andalusian Stallion (wip)
Water color Pencil on Suede
Approx 18×23
I didn’t get as much time to work on him as I would have liked today but at least I got some time in. Though it was barely enough new work to warrant a post.
I had seriously pondered taking him with me and demonstrating at the event this weekend. In the end I decided against it. Partly because the chance for damaging the work (as in mishandling, spilling, getting rained on . . . or worse still, snowed on) is greatly increased. And partly because their booth spaces are tiny (a mere 8×10) so I really don’t want to take up the space.
The color got a little green in this photo. The previous work in progress shot is closer to true.

Isn’t it funny how two photos of the same thing can look so different? I’m having trouble photographing some of my pieces. Everything looks over exposed, like the flash is too bright or something.
Anyway, this painting is coming along fabulously. You have amazing patience. I don’t blame you for deciding against taking it with you, it would be such a shame for it to be ruined after all your hard work.
Thanks UD. It’s at one of those weird stages. But I am anxious to get back to work on it. Darn artfairs and the need to earn money and pay bills getting in the way of my fun.
Oh I know what you mean! Once I’m on a roll with something the necessity to eat and sleep is such an irritation, never mind anything else! Thankfully I couldn’t sleep tonight
So I got more clay pieces made
