Yes this was the first and i hope the first of many! I really hope to do more competitions as i don't think there are many animal or wildlife comps about these days. I just need to find my next willing judge : ) If anyone knows of a high standing/profile artist that i can work with on this do let me know and I will then try to work my magic and come up with a good prize! If just goes to show how judging really is just a matter of opinion. I have no doubt Polly Anna knows her stuff and especially tigers, but when it comes down to it, it is a matter of personal likes and dislikes. I'm not sure if Melanie hosts a lot of competitions. It makes me wonder what draws a person to a particular painting. I would have chosen differently - not taking anything away from the winners because I agree that they are all a very high standard and it would be a difficult choice.
