Hey, at this point, I envy a full booth, LOL -- I guess that is part of what made it beautiful to me. Beyone that, it looks so wonderfully colorful. I like seeing your work in proper scale. It is wonderful seeing your large recognizable pieces. I like how all the pieces juxapost in this view. Angela

Well, yes and no. We live in a town with a lot of housing estates and industrial estates, so I would say no. But we are surrounded by farming villages in every direction. I suppose it's quite a small town really, compared to some others. Generally people here just seem to lack appreciation for any kind of art. I had actually never met an artist here before until I became friends with Anita! And even she had stopped painting for a few years. There is not a lot of encouragement in that area, although I think the schools are improving. Thankfully we have found (and joined) the Fellowship of Professional and Amateur Artists, so we now know some like minded people.

Hey Angela, We did have fun. As for the booth it is too full, but I have a hard time editing my space.

Undaunted I generally think that when excellent artwork doesn't sell, it has more to do with the artist's drive to sell it.

So do you live in a more ruarl area?

That's really strange that some places sell better than others. I suppose some places attract serious buyers and other places attract people looking for a nice day out?

I don't think our area sells art very well. I know a few really good artists, but none of them support themselves through their art. There is a city not too far from here which I think has art fairs and such, and I think people do better there.

Great article. Your booth looks wonderful. Maybe they are just tapped out -- too bad -- I think indoors could be nice. I am glad you had a nice time -- made it a nice time for yourselves. Angela
